According to research, key themes include: patient advocacy as a traditional role, nurses being in the best position within the healthcare team, nurses have the knowledge to advocate, lastly, nurses and patients can be partners in advocacy.

Ken Sobel, Esq is a San Diego based AV-rated attorney for forty (40) years with almost 15 years specializing in all aspects of legal cannabis business and health.

Deb McCauley, RN, CRRN

Deborah (Deb) started her medical career as a combat medic in USAF. After she was medically discharged due to a diagnosis of epilepsy, she went on to work a variety of medical jobs. In 2010, she expanded her medical knowledge by graduating with her RN. She recently graduated Magna Cum Laude with her BSN. She is in the process of obtaining her master’s degree from the University of Maryland’s Medical Cannabis Science and Therapeutics program.
