Advocacy is an essential skill for nurses throughout every aspect of practice. According to research, key themes include: patient advocacy as a traditional role, nurses being in the best position within the healthcare team, nurses have the knowledge to advocate, lastly, nurses and patients can be partners in advocacy.

Explore ways to advocate for plant medicine access, use, education, research, and the freedom to choose from a medical perspective.

Melanie Rose Rogers

Melanie Rose Rodgers is an advocate for plant medicine, entheogenic plants and fungi. Prior to working in cannabis, Melanie worked in advertising, marketing, nonprofits and in healthcare insurance.

Ken Sobel, Esq is a San Diego based AV-rated attorney for forty (40) years with almost 15 years specializing in all aspects of legal cannabis business and health.

Deb McCauley, BSN, CRRN

Deborah (Deb) started her medical career as a combat medic in USAF. After she was medically discharged due to a diagnosis of epilepsy, she went on to work a variety of medical jobs. In 2010, she expanded her medical knowledge by graduating with her RN. Always seeking improvement and knowledge, Deb recently graduated Magna Cum Laude with her BSN and is currently in the process of obtaining her master’s degree with a focus in Healthcare Regulation.
